Tulsi & Bernie Win 5th Debate,
Harris & Buttigieg Caught in Lies and Warren Proves She Can’t Do Math
November 20, 2019. Atlanta, Georgia. Tulsi Gabbard and Bernie Sanders easily won the fifth Democratic debate. The winner in terms of impact and overall effectiveness was Tulsi Gabbard. In composure and presentation and substance, Bernie Sanders had the best performance. He and Tulsi got out as much as they could of their positions in their limited time. Once again, Tulsi was the most Googled of the candidates.
Tulsi was either ignored or under attack throughout the debate. In areas where she was the only expert (such as military spending and experience), the hosts ignored her. A pre-arranged attack by Kamala Harris on Tulsi and orchestrated by the hosts, established a clear case of bias. Tulsi and Bernie were given considerably less speaking time than candidates who are polling lower.
Of all candidates for President, Donald Trump actually won because of the attempts to silence and rig the debate against Bernie Sanders and Tulsi Gabbard, the only two candidates who could beat Trump. Right from the start, the debate bias in favor of Elizabeth Warren and Pete Buttigieg was obvious to anyone watching.
On the debate stage, Kamala Harris used a childish smear attack in seeking revenge on Tulsi Gabbard. By revealing Kamala’s prosecutorial record in the second debate, Tulsi essentially wiped out Kamala Harris ’s chances of being elected President. Kamala’s revenge fell far short. Instead of hitting Tulsi with real facts, Kamala used obvious lies and exaggerations in her attack and resembled a little kid striking back in anger. Tulsi did not constantly criticize Barack Obama when he was in office and did not constantly go on Fox TV. If she had, the Democratic National Committee never would have selected her for their vice chairman and put her on track to be a front-runner in a future Presidential race. It was Tulsi who, as front-runner for a subsequent Presidential nomination, stepped down from the DNC in 2015 to tell the truth about nomination rigging and to back Bernie Sanders in his bid for the 2016 nomination.
Kamala had company in making up falsehoods and attacking Tulsi. Pete Buttigieg tried to pretend that Tulsi had accused him of saying he would invade Mexico. She repeated his statement that he would send troops to Mexico to fight the Cartels. Anyone who can watch the rerun can see that she did not accuse him of trying to take over Mexico. This was a sidestep on Buttigieg’s part to deflect from his planned misuse of the U.S. Military. Obrador is the President of Mexico and has never encouraged the use of U.S. troops in his country.
Elizabeth Warren claimed that, with two cents from the top 1%, she could fund pre-kindergarten and many other programs, make tuition free for college and repay 95% of student debt. 1% is still 1%. There aren’t that many people in the top 1% that a two cent tax would be able to cover all of that. If Warren had something different in mind, she needs the skills to enunciate her plan on stage so it doesn't look foolish. Tulsi, the only candidate who could succeed in cutting the defense budget, has the ability to fund all that, along with Medicare For All, a program Elizabeth Warren has partially abandoned in favor of a public option.
Unlike her attackers, Tulsi proved herself accurate and Presidential and able to be an effective Commander-in-Chief for the military while also being a peacemaker. She managed to note that she is the one with the plan to make elections safe. She has introduced a bill for paper ballots.
Tulsi’s most shining statement was where she responded to Pete Buttigieg’s attack regarding her meeting with Bashar Al-Assad with the following:

Tulsi’s most shining statement was where she responded to Pete Buttigieg’s attack regarding her meeting with Bashar Al-Assad with the following:
“But your point about judgment is absolutely correct. Our commander-in-chief does need to have good judgment. And what you've just pointed out is that you would lack the courage to meet with both adversaries and friends to ensure the peace and national security of our nation. I take the example of those leaders who have come before us, leaders like JFK, who met with Khrushchev, like Roosevelt, who met with Stalin, like Reagan, who met -- like Reagan, who met and worked with Gorbachev. These issues of national security are incredibly important. I will meet with and do what is necessary to make sure that no more of our brothers and sisters in uniform are needlessly sent into harm's way fighting regime change wars that undermine our national security. I'll bring real leadership and experience to the White House.
She was off on Ronald Reagan as he was a warmonger with dementia. It was Gorbachev who unilaterally ended the cold war. Otherwise her point was a good one. During her statement, Buttigieg interrupted, like a child, with a reference to Donald Trump’s meeting with Kim Jong Un. He blew that point as that was one time where Americans outside of the Democratic leadership agreed that Trump’s meeting with Kim Jung Un was a good thing.
Because Tulsi was given so little time, she had to pack as much information as she could into the few times she was called on. In this, she did quite well. MSNBC cut the cameras away from her when she raised her hand to speak on topics to avoid having the television audience notice the extent to which they were censoring her. The moderators could be seen lining up attacks on Tulsi and she came shining through.
Bernie’s most shining statement was where he said the following:

“And by the way, the same thing goes with Israel and the Palestinians. It is no longer good enough for us simply to be pro-Israel. I am pro-Israel. But we must treat the Palestinian people as well with the respect and dignity that they deserve.
“What is going on in Gaza right now, where youth unemployment is 70 percent or 80 percent, is unsustainable. So we need to be rethinking who our allies are around the world, work with the United Nations, and not continue to support brutal dictatorships”
Americans have been waiting for a Presidential candidate to have the courage to say that. This may have been the high point of the debate.
Bernie also did well in standing up for Medicare for All and in pointing out the needs of the American public. His closing statement was the best of all the candidates.
The following accurate statement by Bernie when contrasted with the limited time Bernie was given shows the corruption and bias of the debate hosts and the sham nature of the debate:

The following accurate statement by Bernie when contrasted with the limited time Bernie was given shows the corruption and bias of the debate hosts and the sham nature of the debate:
“During this campaign, I am proud to say that I have received more campaign contributions than any candidate at this point in an election in American history, over 4 million contributions, averaging $18 apiece.”
Question: So how do you get so little debate time with the most contributions of any candidate in history? Answer: Be part of a rigged Democratic debate.
The speaking times for both Tulsi and Bernie were cut such that they were given considerably less time than candidates who were polling lower. In the polls with the largest samplings, Bernie is the highest polling candidate. There was an obvious debate host bias on the part of the hosts for Warren and Buttigieg, the two candidates to whom the most time was given.
Tulsi was given very little speaking time. In her limited time, she expressed many of her positions, took down two opponents and showed she is the candidate who can unite all the people of the country.
Bernie’s only failing in the debate involved his overstated attacks on Donald Trump. Bernie is not currently running against Trump. He is running against the other Democratic candidates for the nomination and he needs to remember that. And no, Trump is not the worst President in history. George W. Bush set off a pattern of regime change wars that Barrack Obama, turned into seven wars. Bill Clinton, Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush also worked to destroy the middle class and engaged in regime change wars. Trump is simply expanding upon the bad things the earlier Presidents did. If not for the earlier Presidents, Trump could not have gotten away with most of the really bad things he has done. Otherwise, Bernie did quite well.
The biggest loser of the night was Elizabeth Warren. The hosts treated her as if she were a queen and as if the rest of the candidates were her subjects of children. She engaged in generalizations and platitudes but presented little substance and did not even discuss her recent position change on Medicare for All. To viewers, she came across as Betty Crocker without the cookies. She might win the position of White House chef but, without cheating from the hosts, her debate skills are seriously lacking.
