More than a Thousand Orange County Residents Oppose Vaccine Passports Outside Supervisors Meeting
May 11, 2021. Outside the the Orange County Board of Supervisors meeting, more than a thousand Orange County residents rallied against vaccine passports, which would have resulted in the end of medical privacy for Orange County residents having smart phones and discrimination against the disabled, poor and people not wanting an experimental jab. To those present, this was a matter of equal protection, medical privacy and other Constitutional rights.
The event speakers included top human rights leaders Peggy Hall and Leigh Dundas. Leigh is a Constitutional law attorney who has been fighting for the rights of Americans through her career. Peggy is an educator who has been successful in educating Californians and other Americans about their rights. Alan Hotstetter, founder of the American Phoenix Project, also spoke. The crowd of people from all walks of life (doctors, teachers, civil servants, attorneys, ministers and others) cheered enthusiastically as Peggy, Leigh and Alan spoke of the discriminatory Constitutional violations vaccine passports would entail.
After the speeches, hundreds of Orange County residents spoke before the Board of Supervisors to let them know that Orange County residents would not allow the infringement of their rights that vaccine passports would bring about.
Among those in the crowd opposing vaccine passports was Los Angeles Firefighter Rene Peralta. Forty percent of Los Angeles firefighters will not be getting the vaccine.
The Board voted to pause the passport while Supervisor Katrina Foley took a stand against equality. Previously, Katrina was in a Democratic chat wherein the history of Tuskegee was denied and where it was considered acceptable to refuse to evacuate unvaccinated African-Americans in an emergency. Ms. Foley is the most recently elected member of the Board of Supervisors and she obtained her seat with a mere plurality in a special election. There is currently discussion of her possible recall. Those present felt she was completely out of touch. Several people said she was too elitist to understand the needs of the average Orange County resident.
