Is Hillary Finished?
In a Democratic poll conducted by the Justice Gazette, 80% of those polled believed Hillary Clinton’s chances of being President were destroyed Saturday night in the second Democratic debate. Many expressed the position that the problem was not just that Clinton’s use of her sex and 9/11 to justify contributions from Wall Street was tasteless. It was generally felt that her 9/11 foux pas would not go away and would sink the entire Democratic Party if Clinton were to wind up the nominee.

A sizable number of Democrats now see Hillary as the albatross around the Party’s neck. This would not be the first time a likely Democratic Presidential nominees self-destructed. The “Dean Scream” (though helped along by sound technicians) ended the likelihood of a Howard Dean Presidency and the lies and attempts by John Edwards’ to hide his love child with Reille Hunter while his wife was dying of cancer finished his Presidential chances as well.
One of the top Democratic leaders privately spoke with a Justice Gazette writer earlier this evening and stated, “If Hillary does manage to get the nomination, this won’t go away. The Republicans will bring it up again and again, and the Democratic Party will lose the general election.”
