BERNIE WINS DEBATE AS JOE'S REPEATEDLY CAUGHT LYING
March 15, 2020. At a debate that was limited to two white men, excluding the woman of color who qualified, Bernie Sanders won on policy and honesty. Joe Biden was repeatedly caught in lies.
Biden lied about his record on Social Security, the War in Iraq, a woman's right to choose, gay rights. immigration rights, and many more of his positions. Either Joe has serious memory problems or has a serious honesty problem. Joe, who has numerous Wall Street backed PACS, lied in trying to falsely claim that Bernie had a PAC. This was one of many times his lies were caught. Joe lied about the 2007 immigration bill which would have created slave labor camps and which was opposed by most civil rights organizations. Immigrants, Latino-Americans and civil rights activists closed down five freeways in Southern California to stop the bill. Though the bill never came to a full vote, a national civil rights Democratic Club (Patrick Henry) recognized Bernie Sanders with its American Hero Award for opposing the slave labor provisions.
Biden lied about his positions on oil and gas. Biden, financed by oil and gas executives and the fracking industry, is partially responsible for the Gulf Oil Spill and the mistreatment of Native Americans in pushing through an oil pipeline at Standing Rock, North Dakota when he was Vice President.
Not only has Biden repeatedly voted against workers rights, a woman's right to choose, immigrants rights, rights for African-Americans and gay rights, but he actively promoted and pushed the Iraq War to members of Congress, repeatedly lying about reasons to go to war with Iraq. There is video-evidence contradicting Biden on many of the positions he purported to have had in the debate.
One of the most egregious lies on Biden's part was his pretense at supporting Social Security. In 1984, Biden backed a Social Security that cut or eliminated Social Security for thousands of U.S. Postal workers and that dramatically cut it for other postal workers. There are videos of Biden pushing cuts to Social Security.
Biden's lied about the Wall Street bailouts he supported and promoted. These bailouts went to the banks. Instead of helping the people, the banks threw millions of Americans out of their hones onto the streets with the approval of Joe Biden. Bernie wanted the bailout money to instead go to the people, not the banks and voted against the bill. Now Biden is supporting giving another $1.5 trillion dollars to Wall Street (instead of Man Street) for COVID-19.
Biden confused diplomacy and honesty with bad foreign relations. Biden has profited from the defense industry and so it makes sense that diplomacy is not his strong suit. Bernie on the other hand spoke out for honesty and diplomacy, instead of warmongering.
On COVID-19, Biden's plan is to give money to Wall Street, a trickle down approach. He tried to pretend that Bernie's plan was his but Biden has repeatedly opposed publicly-funded college, medical treatment for all and helping people who are out of work. In fact, he is on video saying he would veto Medicare for All if it was passed by both Houses of Congress. Bernie has a clear, concise plan that would guarantee income to workers during the crisis and covers protecting people from foreclosures and from evictions and guaranteeing them medical care without co-pays, along with a plan to work with the international community to treat and end the spread of COVID-19. Bernie's Medicare for All plan wold have prevented the spread in the first place and there there would have been no threat of the virus to the American people if Bernie's plans and proposals had been adopted.
Tulsi Gabbard, who was not allowed in the white guy's debate after she qualified for the debate, has proposed Universal Basic Income of $1000 a month for every adult American until the end of the crisis. She has supported UBI for some time.
Exit polls have shown that the results of the states Bernie lost would have been called fraudulent under United Nations standards if they had taken place in other countries. Such discrepancies between exit polls and results and often been the catalyst for U.S. intervention in elections in countries outside the U.S. In every 2020 primary, even those where Bernie won, his results (when compared with exit polling raw data) were lower than the acceptable margin of error for a legitimate election. Had the votes been properly counted, Bernie would be ahead by enough delegates to be headed towards outright victory in the first vote at the Democratic Convention. Biden is only ahead in highly questionable and seemingly fraudulent vote counts. A great many Democratic voters are saying the the future of democracy requires that Democrats defeat Biden in the general election if he is the nominee.
So will the corporate pro-war media dare to fact check Biden's debate remarks? Probably not. To informed voters, Biden's lies are obvious. There is plenty of readily available video to prove Biden lied during the debate.
On Tuesday March 17, four states are planning to crowd thousands of people together into lines if they want to vote, thereby dramatically increasing the risk of catching COVID-19 in exchange for the right to vote. The number of polling places has been cut back in the various states to further endanger the health and safety of voters. For people over 60, voting on Tuesday could be a death sentence.
